Following our full assessment we then develop a counter offer on your behalf that describes and justifies factually all provisions that should be awarded to you. In plain language we include references as relevant around Human Rights, Employment Standards Act, Common Law as well as anything specific to your circumstances. Federally regulated employees are addressed under the Canada Labour Code where Human Rights and Common Law would apply.
TEAMING UP
The counter offer documentation is provided to YOU. We arrange a review of the document with you and finalize it with YOUR input. We then discuss talking points and the process for you to deliver this to your employer. By you presenting this letter directly you maintain the relationship with your employer in a non-threatening way and this also creates an environment for negotiation.
ADDITIONAL RESOURCES
We are in frequent communications with legal counsel and government regulatory agencies. We also use the same case law data bases that law firms use to review similar circumstances as yours and those awards. This is leveraged by our own real world experience to asses your personal circumstance. On its own, case law is not always an accurate measure as their are often unmentioned details that have an impact on various outcomes.
